The best way to cut down the rate of death caused by fire is by installing a device called the home smoke alarm. This is what I had advised my neighbor to do. They had not paid much heed to it initially but after their curtains had silently caught fire from a burning candle, they quickly got one installed. There are a wide range of Home Smoke Alarms available in the market. Kidde, Firex, Aster and others. They are reasonably priced, easy to fix, sensitive and accurate. Alarms, detectors, sprinklers are all different forms of devices to prevent danger caused by fire.
